There is not a second in a 24 hour day that I am not thinking. Constant thoughts of ideas, plans, judgment, stupid jokes, opinion, anger, frustration, joy, love, desire, hope, logic, knowledge etc. flow through my mind. I am not the only one, we were all designed like that—to think. The Maker created us to be intelligent individuals living unto his glory. The complexity of our physical bodies alone testifies to his awesomeness, let alone what he created us to do with our capabilities in thought and action. But, “He who teaches man knowledge—the LORD—knows the thoughts of man, that they are but a breath.” ~ Psalm 94:10b-11.
The Holy Spirit truly caused those verses to be etched into, well, my thoughts over the last few days.
My thoughts are but a breath. Inhale, exhale.
I try so hard to get God. It does not work. I cannot do it. My thoughts are not enough to grasp the infinite nature of his being.
“How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep.” – Psalm 92:5
He is so big.
